Winter Wonderland...

Hellllllllllllo to you all...hope your Christmas was warm and magical!   We are just relaxing and trying to get healthy...been some sickness here of late.   I have a project to share made for RRR.   A lovely little shabby altered project made to brighten a Winter's day after the excitement of Christmas has waned.   I combined a vintage knitting spool with some chipboard, diecut scallops, an image, and some yummy buttons.  I used both silver seam binding and lace blue to adorn the top of my spool.  Enjoy and I will be back soon!  Cherry

Santa's JOY

Happy Weekend to you!   There is so much wonderful inspiration from the design team over at Riddersholm Designs!    I feel so inspired!   I have another little Christmas greeting to share with you!   Using that yummy Our Country Christmas collection.   I used The Drum paper and fussy cut the sweet Santa out and nestled him behind my diecut window piece.  I than framed it out with an old chipboard frame and added faux snow to the lower panes.  I added stars here and there in assorted sizes and added some sweet ribbons to the top ...and than added my sentiment to the bottom.  I diecut a few mistletoe leaves from the paper collection, added a berry and used that as my "O".  Make sure to check out all the inspiration.......with a chance to win some gorgeous supplies!   hugs, cherry

Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it is a Winter Wonderland today with these beautiful ribbons from the ribbon club today!   You should have found your way here from Kathy's blog.   I decided to make a Winter Birthday card and a cute winter tag that will hopefully put a smile on someone's face this Winter.   With the bit of let down after Christmas....taking all the shiny pretty ornaments down , it is easy to get those Winter blahs.  I think it is fun to create some fun Winter theme goodies to use as pick me ups.  I know some people also do Winter mini trees with ornaments etc to get them through the Winter months. So Winter ornaments are fun to do.   I know all to well what it is like to have a Winter birthday so giving someone something extra special means so much!                                            I created a pretty snowflake layered card that I actually wrapped the stitched satin shell in grey all around the card.  I simply used some Scor-tape and than wrapped the ribbon around.  Than layered on my embellishments and ribbons.   I topped my bow off with some silver seam binding and white craft berries.
The tag/ornament has a sweet vintage snow baby on it.  I found these still in the package while out thrifting and thought they worked perfectly with these ribbons!   I just used some Spellbinders layered scallop dies and lots of the ribbons along with a cute bingo card and snowflake!   I just love these light blues and grays.    I hope you enjoy and feel inspired on your blog hop with the other ladies!   Your next stop is back to the RRR blog!   Chow ya'll!   Cherry

Hurry and a flurry

I am poppin in ...hurry and a flurry today!  Decking my halls and getting ready for the first basketball tourney of the season!  My day over at RRR.  Some cute tags to tie to packages or use as ornaments on the tree!  Created with diecuts.  I used moss green and lipstick red seam binding on the tags along with a bit of peppermint twine.  Last project is a cute pillow box decked out with chevron striped twill in red.   Ok I am off.....to get ready...........gooooo Gilchrist Grizzlies!  cherry
